Kiturami announced on the 17th that its 200kW micro combined heat and power (CHP) system has obtained UL certification, a U.S. safety standard, and completed its first export to the North American market.

The exported ‘Kiturami Micro CHP’ is a high-efficiency distributed energy system based on Hyundai Motor’s compressed natural gas (CNG) bus engine, achieving a total energy efficiency of 85%. It minimizes energy loss by reusing waste heat generated during electricity production for heating, hot water, and cooling.

Notably, even if external power supply is cut off, the system can independently produce electricity and heat within the building, making it suitable for use as an emergency power source…
